Winners celebrated at Matus Festival of Colours prize giving
On 15 January 15, 2025, the winners from the ‘Festival of Colours’ trade shows held in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), and Cape Town during 2024 gathered at the Matus offices in Germiston for an exciting prize-giving event.

AN EVENT TO REMEMBER
The event was hosted by James Black, Matus category manager, and welcomed by Matus CEO, Robin Coen. Robin shared insights on the resounding success of the 2024 trade shows and golf day. With nearly a quarter of a million rand raised for their chosen charity, Women and Men Against Child Abuse, the event highlighted Matus’ commitment to both its community and customers.
RECOGNISING THE WINNERS
The prize-giving ceremony celebrated the winners of several competitions held at the three trade shows. A national draw determined the lucky recipients of various prizes, with the event aimed at honouring their support and loyalty to Matus.

Retailers qualified for this prize by spending R10 000 at the Matus trade shows on GEDORE-branded products.

3. National lucky draw prize: Yamaha 125cc Bike
Retailers who spent R7 500 at the trade shows on FOX-branded products were eligible.

4. Main trade show prizes celebrated at the Festival of Colours
3rd Prize: Q-Bond Bar Fridge with additional goodies (R10 000 ex VAT spent at the trade show)
WINNER: Tim Walker, Boskruin Mica (accepted by Mike Ferreira)
2nd Prize: GEN616 Gentech Portable Power Station with extras (R10 000 ex VAT spent + games participation)
WINNER: Anthony Selete, Manala Bolt and Nut
1st Prize: A trailer loaded with valuable tools and goodies (R20 000 ex VAT spent + games participation)
WINNER: Brandon Strydom, Wadeville Mica.
LOOKING AHEAD TO 2025
The prize-giving event concluded with smiles, laughter, and a shared anticipation for what 2025 will bring. With plans already underway for the 2025 events, they promise to be bigger and better.
