Three trade shows, three cities

EST Building held their regional trade days in June 2023 with three shows in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town in consecutive weeks. DIY & Industrial Trade News attended the Johannesburg and Cape Town shows.  

All three shows were a huge success as measured by the EST members and suppliers.  

Despite the depressed economy, the trade shows had more than 100 exhibitors per region and EST member attendees from across the country and beyond South Africa’s borders (Namibia and Botswana).  

To encourage retailers to visit all the stands and to benefit from trade days, retailers needed to scan a QR code at each stand for a chance to win various prizes and goodies. Competitions and lucky draws took place throughout the day with a major drawcard of a HYUNDAI H100 giveaway at each of the three venues.   

The lucky winners of the Hyundai H100 per venue were:  

Johannesburg – Perfect Build 100  Hardware in Limpopo  

Durban -Ngcwanguba Hardware in the Eastern Cape  

Cape Town – TimBuild Woodstock in Cape Town
