Tile & Floor Care (TFC) marks a significant milestone this year – 25 years of providing exceptional products and services to the hardware, tile, and DIY sectors. From its humble beginnings to becoming a trusted name in tile care and accessories, the company’s journey is a testament to hard work, innovation, and dedication.

A VISION TURNED REALITY
Drawing on years of experience in the hardware and tile industry, Graham Ashley founded TFC on 1 March 2000, creating something truly extraordinary.
Ashley saw a need in the tile, hardware and DIY market for a comprehensive range of tile and floor care chemical products backed with excellent service and technical knowledge.
Leveraging on expertise gathered during the 90’s in the retail market, TFC quickly filled a critical gap in the market. Their unique value lay in bridging the divide between tiles and chemicals – a niche that few understood. Through training and support, they educated store staff and customers on the importance of specialised products for cleaning, sealing, and maintaining tiles.

BUILDING ON SUCCESS
The addition of Genesis, a globally renowned range of high-quality trims, in 2005 marked the start of TFC’s growth into a multi- brand company. In 2018, they introduced DecoLine, their proprietary range of trims and accessories, further cementing their reputation as industry leaders.
Today, the company boasts a comprehensive portfolio of products under three strong brands:
TFC Chemicals: Locally manufactured, high-quality cleaning, sealing, and maintenance products for flooring and natural stone surfaces
DecoLine: Decorative and functional tiling and architectural profiles, including skirtings, bath seals, and tile levelling systems
Genesis: Internationally recognised profiles and accessories for tiling installations.
A PEOPLE-CENTRIC APPROACH
According to Wade Ashley, the secret behind TFC’s success lies in its people. The company takes pride in its loyal and dedicated staff, many of whom have been with TFC for over two decades. TFC can boast combined sales and brand management experience of over 200 years amongst its sales staff and experienced sales agents in Bloemfontein, East London, Gqeberha and Namibia.
NATIONAL REACH AND GLOBAL AMBITIONS
TFC has grown into a retail powerhouse with a national distribution network covering the whole of South Africa with stock holding branches and agents in major cities like Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, Gqeberha, East London, and Namibia.
In addition, Graham Ashley has expanded the company’s footprint internationally, establishing two successful branches in the USA, where the business is thriving.
