LEADERSHIP AND VISION
Muranda Mambo CEO Leslie Kasinganeti (who prefers the title chief executive steward) delivered an inspiring speech, beginning with a moment of silence for colleagues who passed away. He recounted the company’s journey and its expansion to branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Limpopo, Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Congo, and the UK.
In his address, Kasinganeti shared the organisation’s guiding principles:
• Mantra: “Integrity is better capital than money.”
• Motto: “The Servant is King.”
Despite numerous challenges faced last year, including four armed robberies at three of the company’s premises in Johannesburg, 2024 was marked by resilience and growth.
The company’s trademarked brands, Solarfirst and LHP, have become well-recognised names synonymous with quality, reliability, and durability. These brands are prominently featured in hundreds of retail outlets across South Africa and the greater Southern African region. Their distribution extends to renowned retailers such as Build it, Mica and EST, along with well-known stores like Brights Hardware, Laduma Hardware Group, and Jamal Trading, among others. New retail partners such as LeRoy Merlin as well as Makro through their eCommerce platforms are also fuelling growth. Kasinganeti expressed gratitude for the company’s success in all areas owing to the unwavering support Muranda Mambo receives from its retailers and shared the vision for 2025 which will be “A Year of Victory” marking their upcoming 10th anniversary.
