Matus Trade Show 2022

Killarney Country Club played host to the Matus 2022 Trade Days held in August.

With over 40 exhibitors, the trade show was a resounding success with a steady flow of hardware retailers visiting the event over the three days. 

The unique inclusion of a passport and games at each stand ensured no exhibitors were overlooked. To be eligible for one of the three lucky draw prizes, retailers needed to get their passports stamped and participate in the games at each stand – a fun way of encouraging interaction between retailers and exhibitors. In addition a minimum purchase spend was in place before retailers could stand a chance of winning one of the three lucky draw prizes.

The prizes were significant – Third prize included a television and gift packs from Sprayon, Alcolin and Sellotape. The second prize included a Gentech generator, a Yale Safe, a Gedore tool set, and Alcolin gift packs, while the grand prize was a trailer filled with tools valued at more than R50 000. 

The success of the Matus trade show is an indication of how retailers have missed the personal interactions afforded by exhibitions.
