Build it stands with SPAR against GBV

Build it believes that a strong business is built on safe, respected and valued people. That’s why Build it is proud to stand with SPAR in the fight to end gender-based violence. “South Africa has declared GBVF a national disaster and we can’t treat it as someone else’s problem. It affects our colleagues, our customers and the communities where we trade,” says Build it MD Hawie du Preez.

But awareness alone won’t stop this scourge. It takes action: speaking up, supporting survivors, holding perpetrators accountable, and creating workplaces where anyone suffering in silence knows where to turn. As we head into the 16 Days of Activism, we urge every business and every person, especially men, to step up and be part of the solution,” urges Du Preez.
