BACK TO WORK EXPO: Now OPEN to anyone with a passion for tools

Known for its regular hands-on exhibitions that showcase the latest innovations across its extensive portfolio of tool and accessory brands, Vermont Sales has taken a slightly different approach with its latest Let’s Get South Africa Back to Work Expo. This time, the doors are open not only to industry professionals but also to anyone with a passion for tools, accessories and the worksite.

Hosted at the company’s Midrand Expo Centre, the Back to Work Expo is designed to empower the construction, trade and home improvement sectors by bringing together professionals, retailers and end-users in a hands-on environment where products can be seen, tested and experienced in action.
Expo Opens Doors to Trade Professionals and DIY Enthusiasts Alike
While the event continues to serve the trade by offering valuable exposure to Vermont’s extensive product portfolio, it also welcomes DIY enthusiasts and home improvers who want to explore professional-grade tools and accessories. From hardware retailers, builders and contractors to workshop buyers, tradespeople and DIY users, visitors are invited to explore the full scope of what the company offers.

The expo showcases many of Vermont’s leading brands and product categories. Visitors can experience the full breadth of the tool offering, from precision drilling solutions such as Alpen and Drill Doctor to professional power tools and accessories from Tork Craft. Woodworking specialists can explore solutions from Festool, Kreg, SawStop and D-Tech, while additional categories include cutting tools from OLFA, power solutions from Energizer, compressed air systems from AirCraft and GAV, as well as heating tools from Bernzomatic and specialist solutions from Souber Tools.
Live Demonstrations and Product Testing for Informed Decision-Making
A key attraction of the expo is the opportunity for visitors to get hands-on with the equipment. Attendees can handle the tools, see live demonstrations and test products themselves. This interactive format allows visitors to discuss practical applications with knowledgeable staff and receive expert advice to help them choose the right solutions for their workshop, job site or retail environment.
The format has also proven particularly valuable for retailers. Many dealers have been bringing their own end-user customers to the expo or sending them through independently, allowing them to experience the products first-hand while still purchasing through their retailer at special pricing. This approach helps strengthen the retailer–customer relationship while giving end-users greater confidence in their purchasing decisions.

The event has also been beneficial for new retail partners who may not yet be familiar with the full scope of the Vermont Sales range. By visiting the expo, these retailers gain a clearer understanding of the company’s extensive brand portfolio and can also see the scale of stock holdings available, reinforcing confidence in Vermont’s ability to supply orders consistently.
Following the strong response from visitors and partners alike, the company has confirmed that the expo will continue running at least through to the end of May.

The Vermont Back to Work Expo is open on weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00, with Saturday visits available by arrangement. Refreshments are provided, but booking is essential.
