Where fashion and taps collide

Isca taps

On 7 August, the eve of Decorex 2018, the media were treated to a launch of a new range of taps from Isca.

Isca turns faucets into fashion items that can be as trendy as a new set of bath towels. The concept is a colour trim kit that is easy to install on existing chrome fittings.

Isca, a kitchen and bathroom fitting brand is part of the LIXIL Group of companies. LIXIL is a global leader in the housing and building industry boasting a unique portfolio spanning everything from technologies that revolutionise how we interact with water in our daily lives, to a full line-up of products and services for housing and major architectural brands.

The brands in the LIXIL stable include: Lixil, Inax, Grohe, American Standard, Permasteelisa, Cobra and Isca. All these brands are leaders in the industries and regions in which they operate. LIXIL operates in more than 150 companies and employs more than 70 000 people bringing together function, quality and design – delighting and improving lives wherever they are.

Against this backdrop it is understandable that the well-known South African Isca brand would once again break moulds and be a trendsetter in the bathroom and kitchen fittings industry. On 7 August, the eve of Decorex 2018, the media were treated to a launch of a new range of taps from Isca.

Isca has always been a brand that makes world class styling really accessible – inspiring everyday people to live beautifully. The marketing team at Isca have been hard at work to introduce new products to make the brand stand out from the rest – especially at retail level and to build the brand that would allow millennials and all consumers to put their personal stamp on items in their homes. ISCA is DIY and with this in mind came the slogan for the launch, ‘where fashion and taps collide’.

This slogan goes hand in hand with its hashtag ‘tap-couture’ which is a tag for a product that boasts the latest trends and creates a new look that can be achieved on a budget.

Two trends identified for spring/summer is calm and neutral – and urban playground, taking its influence from a cityscape and bringing back primary colours of reds, blues, greens, yellows.

Fashion and taps definitely collide with this new range of colourful taps, giving homeowners the freedom to customise their existing ISCA Bordo Round Kitchen and Bathroom taps and mixers. Adding a fresh pop of colour to their living space, many people see the purchase of taps as a long-term commitment but this new design concept from ISCA turns faucets into fashion items that can be as trendy and beautiful as a new set of bath towels. The concept is a colour trim kit that is easy to install on existing chrome fittings and gives homeowners the freedom to play with colour in a way that has never been possible before. The kit is affordable and should the homeowner get tired of the colour of choice they can easily revert back to the original chrome look or cost effectively change to a totally different colour.

The range comes in a choice of modern, trendy colours including red, orange, yellow, green and blue. Matte black and matte gold are also available for a classier, traditional look.

ISCA’s trim kits and mixers are simple and easy to fit without the help of a plumber – an allen key (supplied) is the only tool required and a the kit comes with a helpful step by step video and easy to follow instructions on www.lixil.co.za/news/trimkits

ISCA has also launched its first full black tap and mixer range – Ebony. Ebony is ideal for homeowners with bold tastes who enjoy pushing the bounds of home design whilst still appreciating a minimal and classic look.

The new ISCA collection is currently exclusively available from Plumb-it Centurion or online at plumbitonline.co.za, but will soon be available to retailers nationwide once the exclusivity period is over.
