The Pico device performs at the same level of accuracy as existing colour matching devices. Thanks to Palette’s latest generation technology, the device is a magnitude smaller, more robust and affordable.
Accuracy: It has been verified by third-parties* to be among the most accurate colour matching tools available. Matching accuracy on collections of thousands of colours is typically 90% or higher. The device has been designed to be more sensitive on near-white colours (the most critical and popular paint tints).
Third parties include Benjamin Moore, Dulux Australia, NCS, PPG, Plascon, Paintsmiths, British standards,RAL and many more.
Fast: Sampling a colour takes less than one second, with the best paintmatch almost instantaneously available for the user to view.
Seamless pairing: Setting up the device with the Pico app takes less than a minute. Once the initial setup is complete, pairing the device with the app is automatic and instantaneous. No need to navigate through Bluetooth settings. Just open the app, turn on the device, and it is ready to use.
Robust: Built almost entirely from brushed aluminium, the Pico device is tough and able to withstand significant abuse without any deterioration in quality. Its sensor is recessed and protected by a cap when not in use, which also doubles as a calibration.
Low cost: The price is R1 500 per unit. This accessible RRP enables the device to be distributed to a wider pool of consumers, including DIY painters who have never been able to afford such tools in the past.
White labelling: Palette is able to white label the Pico device to suit your corporate style.
The Pico app
The Pico App acts as the device’s screen and instantly matches any sampled colour to thousands of built-in paint colours. It also enables useful additional features to progress the customer towards purchasing their desired paint. The Pico app is available for free for iOS and Android devices.
