Permoseal recently announced its acquisition of Perma Products. Perma was established in South Africa in 1973, one of the first products it launched
was double sided tape, followed by nail on picture mounts. Today, the categories expand to kitchen and bathroom accessories, hooks, cable ties, surface saves, tool boxes, storage solutions and a comprehensive range of child safety products.
In addition to importing, the company is heavily invested in its own moulds which means products are locally manufactured supporting the local economy without the worry of long lead times and currency fluctuations that come with imports.
Perma Products is a natural fit for Permoseal who are going to leverage its professional sales and merchandising teams to increase its footprint in the South African and African markets.
Future plans for the brand in 2018 include building a brand new website, producing point of sale material to support its retailers and developing a social media platform. The brand potential is huge, space is at a premium and while households are getting smaller, consumers are seeking storage solutions and better ways to organise their spaces.
The family owned business is committed to delivering the best brands to the markets, Permoseal prides itself in being local and contributing to the South African economy.
Permoseal’s retail brands include Alcolin, Bostik, Evo-Stik, Sugru, and Perma Products while the industrial brands also include Nortec and Gluepaste.
This acquisition assists in its vision of being the country’s leading supplier of consumer and industrial adhesives.
