The Lighting in Design Pavilion, a bright new trade attraction exclusive to Decorex Joburg, will turn the Ballroom at Gallagher Conference Centre into a shining showcase of the latest in lighting design and technology. Decorex Joburg will host the new Lighting in Design Pavilion in association with Crown Publications, publishers of the same-named business-to-business quarterly. Aimed at design and building professionals, the pavilion will feature a wealth of lighting solutions for architects, lighting specialists, interior designers, interior architects, electrical engineers, consulting engineers and other trade buyers.
“It comes as no surprise that 80% of the available stand space has already been snapped up,” says Melanie Robinson, Decorex SA exhibition director, adding, “The lighting sector leads the design field, boasting immense technological advances, innovation and cutting edge design.”
“That’s why we are delighted to host the Lighting in Design Pavilion at Decorex Joburg,” says Robinson. Since the show’s inception 17 years ago it has always been a must-attend event for trade professionals. This new pavilion – dedicated entirely to lighting products and related design services – further expands the show’s trade-only offerings which include the seminar Conversations on Architecture.
The Lighting in Design pavilion will be a launching pad for new products, including the latest in energy-efficient products. With LED-lighting leading the radiant revolution, novel applications of this cutting edge technology will abound at the pavilion. An international lighting expert will shed further light on new directions on the lighting front. Decorex Joburg 2010, themed A Breath of Fresh Air, will be held from August 5-9 at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand.
