Hobbyists in the spotlight

Hobby-X was launched in South Africa in 1998 and is now more popular than ever. It attracts many thousands of visitors who have a passion for crafts and hobbies and who are hungry for ideas and information on new products.

Visitors come from all over South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mauritius, Swaziland and further afield from the USA, UK and Europe – all looking for materials, equipment, supplies, ideas and techniques to take back with them. Hobby-X Johannesburg 2011 was once again a resounding success. Visitor numbers were up and feedback from exhibitors was extremely positive with many exhibitors saying that Hobby-X is a worldclass show. After having 13 successful years at the Coca-Cola Dome and with the recent launch of Hobby-X Pretoria, Expo Trends has now organised 27 Hobby-X exhibitions over the past 13 years in the major centres of South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria).
