Agrinet is a wholesaler and distributor of a wide selection of industrial ranges, hardware products, general merchandise and irrigation ranges to retail and trade markets in Africa. Its focus is the optimisation of the value chain from manufacturer to the retail outlet.
Suppliers, both local and from abroad, retail clients, bankers, auditors and significant others were invited to the official opening of Agrinets Warehouse in Belville. The affair was a black tie event and guests were treated to a superb meal in the new warehouse, which had been transformed into an elegant dining area.
The new world-class facility boasts a showroom in which their brands and those of their top supplier partners were beautifully displayed. The showroom has a wall dedicated to a timeline of Agrinet’s history from its humble Vetsak days to the present.
Guests were escorted up a red carpet into the showroom, then through the 15 185m2 warehouse where they were treated to welcoming drinks and hors d’oeuvres at two stations strategically placed at opposite ends of the warehouse ensuring that the guests got an idea of the sheer size of the new facility.
Once the tour of the warehouse was complete guests were treated to a magnificent dinner, a few welcoming speeches from CEO Yollande Brits and Agrinet board chairman, Dr David Mabunda, and entertainment supplied by the hugely talented trio band, Kaleidoscope.
In her speech, Britz recognised suppliers directly involved in the construction and decoration of the facility with special recognition to Conrad Van Eeden – operational executive of the Bellville branch. Since 1991 Van Eeden has been with the company when it was still operating as Vetsak. President of Rovatti Pompe, Andrea Rovatti, from Italy also took to the stage to thank Agrinet for its support and highlighted the role that Agrinet has played in their success on the African continent.
